CWU Wins '2014 Best News from Colleges in Beijing' Award

Recently, organizers announced the selection results of the “2014 Best News From Colleges in Beijing” awards. The article "China Women's University (CWU) Post-graduates in Social Work Make Suggestions for Anti-Domestic Violence Legislation” edited by Shi Haiyu and Shi Fengli won third prize in the Internet news category. It was the first entry into the competition by CWU, and was reproduced in China Women's News.

The prize is awarded annually by Beijing Colleges News and Culture Communication Institute. A total of 488 articles from 52 participating universities were submitted this year, and the number of Internet news stories totaled 164.

The panel of judges is composed of ministers of communication from many of the city's colleges, who also serve as members of the institute. Experts and scholars from Beijing Municipal Education Committee, Beijing journalists Association, China Education Daily, Beijing Daily, China Science Daily, Renmin University of China, Beijing Municipal Lecturer Group and other media groups participated as guest judges.
