Staff from CWU Ideological, Political Theory Teaching Dept Take Research Trip to Qingdao

The Ideological and Political Theory Teaching Department, supported by the Personnel Office, of China Women’s University (CWU) organized a group of teachers to go to Qingdao, eastern China's Shandong Province, to carry out research from June 17-21. The trip aimed to strengthen and improve the teaching staff's professional ability, as well as enrich their socially practical experiences.

The teachers visited Haier Group, one of the world's leading brands in the white goods appliance industry. There they saw a cultural exhibition and an innovative living pavilion, and talked with Wang Peihua, vice-secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection (CDI) of Haier Group, and Fan Qin, vice-director of the General Office of the Civilization Office of Haier Group. They spoke on aspects of enterprise culture and the ideological and political workings of the staff. After the conversation, Wang gave books including “Haier Innovative History” and “The Thinking Memoir of Zhang Ruimin” to the research group as gifts.

In addition, the group also visited Weekly Group, one of the top-500 companies in the service industry in China; Qingdao Planning Exhibition Hall; new villages; and departments of different universities in Qingdao, which enabled them to have a deep feeling and authentic experience of the economic and social development of the city.

The group believed that the research could help them to focus more on practical aspects, and would lead to improvements in their own ideological and political theory teaching and educational competence, according to members.
