CWU Wraps Up 2015 Students’ Military Training



A ceremony of marking the close of Student Military Training for 2015, also titled the “Opening Ceremony of the New Semester” was carried out at the Lizhi National Defense Education Training School, in the Changping District of Beijing on September 25.

Senior colonel Zhang Peisong, director of the Beijing Students Military Training Office; Chairperson of CWU Council Li Mingshun; President Liu Liqun; Vice-President Song Shengju; Executive President of the Lizhi National Defense Education Training School NiuYuzhong; west campus President Gong Fengqi; The military training team leader, Wang Yuhua; Commissar of the military training team, Guo Chunhong; and, other leaders attend the ceremony. The conference was chaired by Li Mingshun.

Accompanied by the military training team leader Wang Yuhua, Li reviewed 17 military parades.
Students were in high spirits as they walked past the platform. At the same time, a series of military training courses, such as women defensive tactics, navy semaphore and war field rescue were also shown at the ceremony. Combined with the CWU motto and the student's spirit, the exercise represented students’ youth and vitality. Their excellent performance won a great round of applause from the leaders and teachers present.

Wang Yuhua comprehensively summarized the 2015 military training, Guo read out the award decision of outstanding individuals and advanced collectives.Student representative Zhang Xin, on behalf of the freshmen, made a speech during the activity. Vice-President Song Shengju presented a silk banner to the Lizhi National Defense Education Training School.

Senior colonel Zhang Peisong highly praised the perfect exercise under the conditions, as the training base was undergoing adjustments in limited time. He hoped students could practice the socialist core values, and learn from soldiers’ excellent quality as so to develop themselves.

President Liu Liqun shared the school motto with students and encouraged them to be an elegant intellectuals through their cultivations in moral, knowledge, will and physical qualities.
