CWU Holds 2015 Farewell Meeting for Enlisted Students
China Women’s University(CWU) held a farewell meeting for enlisted students on September 24. The chairperson of CWU Council, Li Mingshun, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. related middle-level cadres, enlisted students and some parent representatives also attended the meeting.
Zhang Ruizhi, director of Student Affairs Office, presided over the meeting. Bao Qinglin, committee member of the CWU Defense Education Commission, read out the enlistment notices. Distinguished guests at the meeting presented souvenirs for the students. On behalf of all enlisted scholars, Wang Zi, a student from the Management Institute, expressed his heartfelt thanks to CWU, and promised to train hard, study hard, obey orders, keep CWU school motto in mind, and grow up to be a good soldier as soon as possible.
Li congratulated students on behalf of the council for their personal ambition, and affirmed their dedication to military service. He also shared his own experience in the Xinjiang border post, telling stories of the soldiers there which emphasized the significance of national defense.
In the end, Li expressed his hope that students could cherish opportunities for growth, adapt themselves to the life in camp, train hard and strive to make achievements in the army.
In order to do a better job of conscription on campus, CWU has formulated several new measures and polices in 2015. Students showed their enthusiasm for participation in the new national defense construction.
Through layers of screening, a total of 24 CWU students were selected, including three boys and 21 girls. As members of the army, navy, air force and other armed services, these students marched in succession.
