Song Xiuyan Inaugurates Off-Campus 'Talents Training Base'
In order to enhance educational practice and expand teaching resources outside of the main campus, China Women’s University (CWU) signed a cooperation agreement with the China National Children’s Center. Together they have constructed a training base located at the Children’s Discovery Museum to cultivate talent.
The cooperation agreement stipulated that both two sides should share resources, complement each others' strengths, and establish all-round cooperation in terms of course construction, professional and social practices, academic research, and social services.
As a first step, 15 students were elected as volunteers to accept preliminary training at the base.
In conjunction with the annual Teachers’ Day celebrations, Vice-President and first member of the Secretariat of All-China Women’s Federation (ACWF) Song Xiuyan attended the event and inaugurated the training site on September 8. She said that the museum is a treasure trove for children to explore the world. She hoped students could make good use of the opportunity to accumulate experiences related to the children there, so as to lay a good foundation for preschool education and cultivate young learners in the future. Song encouraged students to apply their knowledge and make achievements based on their professional skills and resources at the base.
Cui Yu, vice-president and member of the Secretariat of the All-China Women’s Federation (ACWF) gave out work permits and training materials to the volunteers. Secretary of the Party committee of the China National Children’s Center Cong Zhongxiao, and its director Yuan Lixin, as well as the Chairperson of CWU Council Li Mingshun and President Liu Liqun attended the ceremony.
CWU has always attached great importance to the construction of talent training bases and has cooperated with over 110 famous enterprises and institutions in the past, such as the China Minsheng Bank and the Oracle among others.
