CWU Delegation Complete Japan Academic Exchange
A delegation from China Women’s University (CWU) visited Japan from August 25-29 to carry out academic exchange between the two countries.
The delegation comprised of 3 teachers and 20 outstanding students, including those from poor backgrounds. They visited Japan Women’s University (JWU), Jumonji University (JU), Tokyo University, and other institutions.
During the visit to JWU, the delegation had a meeting with a student from the JWU's student life department, Nakamura Eiko, and gained further insight into the learning and living environments there. JWU students introduced their studies and social practice activities to the visitors. Chinese doctoral students shared their experiences of having successful academic lives in Japan.
During their visit to JU, its orchestra played “Hope”, “Star”, and “Dream” for the visitors. CWU students also gave a performance in return. The delegation gave some Chinese cultural gifts to the conductor and musicians.
The delegation also visited Tokyo University and Miraikan, Japan’s National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation. They felt the charm of the elite schools, learned about Japan's advanced robot technology and saw the high-tech products of their research.
The academic exchange deepened the CWU's knowledge of education, technology, culture, and economics in Japan. It also strengthened and improved the level of cooperation with universities, and laid a sound foundation for future cooperation.
CWU academic exchange projects have been implemented since 2011. Its delegations have visited many universities and institutions in Hong Kong, South Korea, Singapore, and Taiwan. Academic exchanges have broadened students’ horizons, enriched their knowledge, and increased their experiences, which will help them in their future study, work, and practice.
