CWU Holds 2015 Artillery Training for Female Soldiers
On October 16, China Women’s University (CWU) held an anti-aircraft gun training session for 92 female soldiers at the militia training base, Beijing's Chaoyang district.
The army units of Beijing Garrison Command were in charge of this enclosed formal military training event. Content included the actions to carry out in the queue, national defense education, professional theory, anti-aircraft gun emplacement operations and joint training.
During the session, participators trained hard, kept their discipline, carried forward the special spirits of bearing hardships and fighting, and fulfilled the training task successfully. On October 18, Chaoyang Armed Forces Department (CAFD) carried out a theory test. The overall evaluation of the participants was excellent.
At the summary, organizers praised the outstanding groups and individuals. CAFD commissar Shi Lianxue and vice-minister Huang Bingqi highly affirmed the teachers’ and students’ performance, and hoped that participants would realize the importance of military defense in China’s capital. They also asked them to carry forward the spirit of training, deepen the training results, and forge a female militia with modern characteristics.
On behalf of CWU, vice-president of CWU Armed Forces Department Ma Yu thanked the CAFD for its long-term support in national defense education. Ma hoped that the participants would improve their comprehensive quality, bring the good style of training into the school, play a vanguard and exemplary role at school, and lead a good style of study and maintain school spirit.
