CWU Hosts 14th 'A Date with a President' Event

On November 24, the 14th “Listening to Your Heart, Talking about Growth: A Date with a President” event was held at Shuiyu café in Beijing. The event's featured speaker was Liu Meng, vice-president of China Women's University (CWU), who took part in a conversation with 10 freshmen from the Higher Vocational College.

During her 90-minute presentation, Liu explained several topics that attracted students’ special attention, including how to choose an employment direction, top-up program, improving the ability to adapt to different social situations, and how to keep a balance between study and work for student cadres.

According to her own experience, Liu pointed out that college students should develop good study habits, read books related to their own professions, and improve their self-cultivation. Students should also set personal goals and strive to accomplish them, Liu added.

Liu asked students to improve their capacity for quality, seize opportunities, and meet challenges. In turn, students shared their opinions and suggestions on how to improve their ability and make full use of the university’s resources.

Liu hoped that students could study hard, encourage others around to form excellent styles of study, live their campus life to the fullest, and become contributing members of society in the future.
