In recent years, with the rapid developments of Chinese society and economy, people are becoming richer and richer. At the same time, the problems of property inheritance have been increasingly highlighted. Property inheritance is a complex legal relationship involving not only family relationships, including the inheritance of shareholder’s rights, contract rights, and registered trademarks, but also the changes of relationships between multiple socioeconomic subjects.

Inheritance notaries can confirm the rights of inheritance to some degree, and improve the accuracy and credibility of changes in property rights. Strengthening the practical research into inheritance notary theory is new requirement in reflection of the new period of time. Such actions support the effective and sustainable development of notary work, and address a major social problem worthy of theoretical concerns, said officials.

The organizers received some 54 academic papers for the event. Notaries from Beijing, Shanghai, Zhejiang and other Provinces; experts and scholars from CUPSL, Peking University, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, CWU and other higher institutes; judges and the real estate registration officials from Beijing gathered together at the conference. This heavyweight dialogue of the theoretical and practical circles provided the participants with a worthy intellectual feast.

During the conference, experts, judges and officials focused on the "Notarial Business of Inheritance”, discussed and reviewed some of the problems of the present Law of Succession. Based on the communication, participants deepened their understandings of particular legal issues. Their opinions and suggestions in solving the main hot issues also laid a solid theoretical foundation for the related legislation in China.
